Men’s Hockey

Your Support Matters

The Men’s Hockey program’s goal is to provide the best student-athlete experience both on and off the ice. We work to create a positive and inclusive culture that focuses on developing the student as an athlete, a scholar and a member of the community. Our aim is that the men that are part of our program today, will go on to be great leaders tomorrow. Your support will have a direct impact on their success as student-athletes and on the program.

The Department of Athletics covers most of our day-to-day operational expenses, but we rely on student-athlete fees and fundraising to meet the rest of our program’s needs. To minimize the financial burden on our student-athletes, Men’s Hockey has set a goal to raise $35,000 annually to offset costs associated with enhancing our student-athlete experience year after year.

About Men’s Hockey

The Gryphon Men’s Hockey program has a long history of success that dates to the 1950’s when the ’57-58 team won its first Central Ontario Hockey Championship. Guelph has gone on to capture 7 Queen’s Cups (75-76, 78-79, 79-80, 93-94, 96-97, 2014-15 and 2019) a National Championship in 1996-97 and a Bronze in 2014-15. The program has produced many OUA and CIAU/CIS/USport All-Canadians and a host of players have moved on to play professionally.

Our goal each year is to compete for the Queen’s Cup and to qualify for the National Championship. Your support will help us get there!
