Your Support Matters
The primary goal of the Men’s and Women’s Badminton program is to provide the best student-athlete experience both on and off the court. We work to create a positive and inclusive culture that focuses on developing students as athletes, scholars and members of the community. Our aim is that the young men and women that are part of our program today, will go on to be great leaders tomorrow. Your support will have a direct impact on their success as student-athletes and on the program.
OUA Varsity teams at the University of Guelph receive base funding from the Department of Athletics to cover costs of our OUA competition, some equipment, some shuttles, and some travel. We rely on student-athlete fees and fundraising to meet the rest of our program needs. To minimize the financial burden on our student-athletes, Men’s and Women’s Badminton has set a goal to raise $3000 annually to offset costs that are essential to the success of our program.

About Badminton
The badminton team at Guelph has been a mainstay throughout the years in the capacity of a club, but it was not until 2022 that our team was given OUA Varsity status. The team looks to make a strong impact on our community, our school, and in competition. We are looking to bolster our team’s standing through more adequate training equipment, more opportunities, and more financial support for athletes. We have an amazing group of players who have a deep passion for the sport and a strong desire to improve! Your support means a significant amount to the team, and we thank you for your contributions!
