Your Support Matters
Our goal is to provide our student athletes with the best support possible to help them reach their potential both athletically and academically. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive team culture for all our athletes. Each year we make it our goal to qualify for the Golf Canada University Championship which requires a top 4 finish at the OUA championships. We also pride ourselves on our athletes’ success in the classroom and in the community. In order to keep the team fee to a minimum for each athlete we require approximately $15,000 in fundraising each season to participate in the number of events and provide the proper training necessary to perform our best.

About Golf – 2023
The Gryphon Golf Program has consistently been one of the top programs in the OUA for the last several years. Our Men’s team has qualified for the National Championships 4 of the last 5 years and finished ninth in 2023 as well as having the 3rd place Individual finisher, Justin Allen. Our Women’s team is on the rise, finishing last season ranked 6th in OUA. Jacqueline Giles became the first Gryphon female to win the Individual OUA Championship in 2021 and finished 3rd in 2022. Our long-term goal is to have both our Men’s and Women’s team qualify and contend for National Championships for many years to come.

I would like to give this donation on behalf of my idol Kobe Smith. I would like to shed light on why Kobe Smith is my idol and highlight one of the tournament adversities he has overcome during his legacy career as an oua athlete. It all started on the 5th hole, on the second day of oua's at Grey Silo golf club... He hit his tee shot on the 5th, and its left. Other participants all across the golf course could hear the faint sound "He lost it" and "She gone Kob" Kobe desperately tried to recover taking not one, not two, but three hacks out of the hazard before finally taking a drop. He collected his thoughts and thought he could go up and down from 215 for a double... Kobe made a 9. Viewers at home were left stunned and wondered how it took Kobe Smith NINE tries to get the ball in the hol
